I have purchased some MSA sordins should be here in a couple of days I have noticed a few people have them when I have been playing at RIFT I believe people I have seen with them have the real ones as they were branded my question is currently our squad are using baofengs 888 cheap but useful radios do the job and are easy to use, I have researched online regarding issues with the z tactical PTT not working on real sordins I don't mind buying a more expensive PTT but I'm struggling to find one with the 2 pin connector for the PTT that connects to the baofengs, I will buy a proper radio soon but just spanked a fair bit of money on these rush buys ole we do,any advice would be greatful I have ordered the Z tactical PTT anyway they are cheap just to give it a go (so that will be more than likely for sale soon lol) They are the supreme PRO Duel Channel ones if that's any help
Thanks All :)

It depends what plug is fitted to the MSA Sordins as they have various types. I know for a fact that the four pole TP120 Nexus plug (or copy of it) is fitted to most Z tac ones and they are wired in a different order to the real ones.

We made them work with a Nexus PTT2000 (25 ish eBay) and appropriate lead for Motorola XTNiD radios (very good radios from 50 2nd hand on eBay).

One of our team had a PTT made for his Sordins and it was about 100!! "Starkey" seems to ring a bell.

I think the Baofengs are over powered for use without a license but might be talking out my *** on that one ;)

The Z tac wiring can be hit and miss quality wise. Some are DOA and some work for years.

Edit: as for the lead, you should be able to work out the pin spacing/height/length/pole OD's etc. I reckon the Baofeng uses the same as another brand but, not sure which.

You could buy a speaker mic and cut the lead off:

cheers for getting back to me it's much appreciated and some good advice I'm really impressed with the sound of them blocks most loud noises or been wearing them at work looking like a mad man In front of customers but it Block most of the noise out of the machines yet you can hear people talking and all the quieter noises very impressed one of the best buys I have probably made so recommend them to all. I will post a picture of the lead it's not the 5 or 6 pin one the 1 single pin.
Thanks again :)

Yep, they are Nexus TP120 plugs so, you can get a Nexus PTT and cable to suit radio for about 30. Some Sordin/radio combos need electronics inside the PTT. Not sure if you'll need that or not...

Here's the z tac and mil spec wiring guide (not checked it but, should be fine :p ):
